The Phoenix swept its wings,
and embraced its fallen kin,
into their hearts it peered,
to find memories a-spin.
A sad and dying creature,
poisoned through human err',
with a noble destiny,
and its legacy so fair.
The bird of heavenly flame,
fanned its feathers hot,
and freed its friend the condor,
from the Earthly thing it sought.
But from the ashes of the condor,
rose another in its place,
and the Phoenix flew the skies again,
its friend but glad to chase.
